Winespectator (91)

Burghoudn: A broad-ranging nose combines notes of spice, menthol, oak, cassis, plum and violets. The mid-palate impression is exceptionally rich and velvety with plenty of mouth coating dry extract present to buffer the moderately firm tannic spine on the lingering finish. This is not an especially refined version of Chaumes but there is no faulting the density of the underlying material.
