Adrien Lattard
Adrien Lattard is a young winemaker from Côte de Beaune who produces white Burgundy wines and offers a small selection of wines, primarily made from Chardonnay and Aligoté. His selection ranges from wines labeled “Burgundy” to “Meursault-Porusot 1er Cru”, one of the most famous Premier Crus representing this village. Location
Adrien Lattard works in the southern half of the Côte de Beaune, the heart of Burgundy. His range of wines spans two levels in the “pyramid” of appellations: broad regional AOCs, such as “Burgundy-Côte d’Or” and “Burgundy-Aligoté,” as well as the village of Meursault, specifically the Porusot 1er Cru vineyard. Porusot is located north of Meursault, near Genévrières. This climat is one of the Premier Crus, which gives Meursault its reputation for producing Chardonnays with a firm structure and pronounced minerality, rather than the rounded style characteristic of wines grown further south within the same village.

Côte de Beaune stretches south from the town of Beaune, passing through Pommard, Volnay, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, and Chassagne-Montrachet, and ends in Santenay. Meursault, Puligny, and Chassagne form the heart of white wine production, with Meursault being the home of the finest Latour cuvées.
The soils throughout the Côte de Beaune consist of a mixture of limestone and marl, and the best plots for white wine production are located on limestone-rich slopes in the middle of the hills. This is precisely what gives the wines of Meursault their exquisite balance between fullness and tension. The relatively recently established regional appellation “Burgundy-Côte d’Or” does not cover the entire Burgundy region in the broad sense, but exclusively the vineyards of the Côte d'Or itself, which gives it a much higher degree of specificity as a region of origin than simply the “Burgundy” label.

Chardonnay is a grape variety used to produce white Burgundy wines at all levels, from regional wines to the Grand Cru wines of Montrachet. Aligoté is another white grape variety in Burgundy that was historically considered a grape for everyday wines, but today, thanks to planting in suitable vineyards and meticulous winemaking, it is increasingly gaining serious recognition from producers.
The range
Adrien Lattard produces four white wines His entry-level offering is a Bourgogne Aligoté, followed by a Bourgogne Côte d'Or Chardonnay, both produced in very small quantities. 870 and 1,740 bottles respectively in the 2023 vintage.
He also produces a Puligny-Montrachet and a Meursault.
All wines are aged in 228-litre barrels with minimal new oak and low sulphur additions, and are bottled without batonnage after racking the following spring.
