Cask sample. Plenty of restraint on the palate. Crisp acidity provides a great counterfoil to the 2022 fruit ripeness. A little severe on the finish – this should smooth out with 6–12 months in bottle. (AWH)
A classic Meursault nose of hazelnut, white orchard fruit and acacia blossom nuances leads to super-sleek, precise and utterly delicious, as well as beautifully textured, medium weight flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the impressively long finale. This is excellent and one to strongly consider.
Bright pale primrose, with a reductive nose. There’s a very significant weight to the fruit though, with good acidity behind, a little yellow fruit then a cushion of broad-based orchard fruit behind. A punchy, energetic finish.
