Le Lucente 2023 est un vin rouge mis en bouteille sous l'appellation Toscana IGT, issu de raisins cultivés dans le vignoble Luce della Vite, situé dans la région de Montalcino. Il est élaboré à partir d'un assemblage des cépages Merlot et Sangiovese. Ce vin est issu de raisins récoltés sur les jeunes vignes du domaine, plantées sur une parcelle relativement fraîche et de faible altitude ; de ce fait, le Lucente atteint sa maturité de dégustation plus tôt que les vins haut de gamme de la même série.
La saison de croissance 2023 s'est avérée particulièrement difficile pour les viticulteurs toscans. Il a plu sans discontinuer du printemps jusqu'au début de l'été, puis une épidémie de mildiou s'est déclarée, et des tempêtes de grêle ont frappé certaines parcelles de Montalcino. La sélection des raisins a joué un rôle plus déterminant que lors des années habituelles. Le merlot a été récolté vers la mi-septembre, et le sangiovese 3 à 4 semaines plus tard. Les deux cépages ont été fermentés séparément à l'aide de levures indigènes (levures sauvages naturellement présentes sur le fruit) et soigneusement pressés avant l'assemblage.
Après plusieurs années de vieillissement en bouteille, les tanins s'arrondiront. Ce vin se dégustera idéalement d'ici 2032.

Designed as the estate’s most approachable bottling, Lucente finishes on a short but refreshing note.

A juicy and delicious wine with aromas of black cherries, walnuts, flint, graphite and matchsticks. Medium-bodied with creamy and refined tannins and a pretty finish. Inky aftertaste with some iodine. 60% merlot and 40% sangivoese. Drink or hold.

Impenetrable dark crimson. Elegant oak notes over cool leafy cherry and raspberry notes with touches of dried laurel. Juicy elegant and between medium and light-bodied but with a notable long finish with chewy tannins and a balsamic oak note. Not really for cellaring, but why would you? The 2023 Lucente wafts up with a seductive bouquet of crushed blueberries, cherries, complementary minty herbs and autumnal spice. This presents soft textures, vibrant acidity, sleek red berry fruits and a subtle citrus tinge toward the close. It’s gently tannic and long with lavender and licorice on the finish.

Brilliant ruby red. A spicy, appealing bouquet with notes of blackcurrant and sweet cherries, along with hints of licorice, cocoa, and thyme. Flattering on the palate at first, then developing into bold tannins; very compact, with above-average length.
