This wine has been fully mature for at least a decade, but it continues to exhibit an herb-, mineral-, and plum-scented bouquet, with ripe, lush, expansive flavors that appear to have put on a bit of weight and intensity since the mid-1980s. The tannins have completely melted away, and the overall impression is one of a round, generously endowed, silky-textured wine. I would opt for drinking it over the next 3-5 years, but I have been wrong so many times in the past about the aging potential of Figeac, this wine may last longer.
