The 2023 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru comes from five parcels comprising 1.5 hectares on the plateau and incline of the lieux-dits. It has a striking bouquet with vibrant citrus fruit, lime and orange pith aromas that gather pace with aeration. The palate is well defined, focused and intense, with a brisk line of acidity and a little more substance than the other Saint-Aubins. It has hints of stem ginger and almond on the lingering finish.
A vague whiff of exoticism can be found on the aromas of white peach, floral and citrus confit. On the palate there is very good cut and punch to the stonier medium weight flavors that terminate in a clean, bright and nicely dry finish that is also well-balanced but a bit more complex as well. Lovely.
The domaine owns 5 plots, so En Remilly is a relatively big cuvee. The nose is discreet in a good way, then significant white fruit flesh thereafter, softer yet with adequate acidity.
