Notes of pear, oatmeal, toasted nuts and freshly baked bread introduce Roulot's 2022 Bourgogne Blanc, a medium-bodied, layered and fleshy wine that's charming and mouthwatering.
The 2022 Bourgogne Blanc has quite a pithy, resinous bouquet that is quite cerebral for a regional white. The palate is medium-bodied with a waxy texture and fine acidity, actually quite Aligoté-like in style. Very fine.
Smoky aromas of petrol and various white orchard fruit lead to delicious and vibrant middle weight flavors that possess a relatively refined mouthfeel relative to what is typical for the genre, all wrapped in an unusually complex and balanced finale. This is an excellent Bourgogne and recommended.
Pale colour, a bouquet of ripe apples and some quince. Quite tight, fair concentration, difficult to assess at the moment. The recent sulphur addition has slightly dried the finish. Scored as tasted today.
