The 2022 Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes is especially good this year, offering up aromas of citrus oil, lemon curd, pear, white flowers and bread dough framed by a deft touch of youthful reduction. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and suave, with a deep, multidimensional core of fruit, racy acids and chalky structuring extract, it concludes with a penetrating finish.
Fresh pale lemon. Here the bouquet shows the power of the vineyard with a fractional reduction, so coming across as purer than the Poruzots as it is today. Rich deep white fruit on the palate, possibly even a little too ripe, no more than medium acidity, but with weight and depth. A little more acidity peeks out now.
