From 40 to 60-year-old vines, primarily from Les Cras but with additional contributions from Les Brunettes et Planchots, Les Morais and Les Boutières. This is also slightly flat, and a bit roasted on the mostly dark berry fruit-suffused nose where a hint of prune lurks in the background. The rich and quite full-bodied flavors possess excellent mid-palate density along with solid power and drive on the sappy, rustic and slightly tangy finale. I can't say that the nose appeals to me, but this is not without its good points.
