Once again there is just enough wood in play to comment on suffusing the riper aromas of liqueur-like dark berries, earth and gamy hints. The succulent but powerful larger-bodied flavors possess plenty of sap that helps to buffer the moderately austere, rustic and firm tannins shaping the compact, serious and very much built-to-age finish. This is a night and day difference compared to the Les Moutottes.
