Offering up attractive aromas of red cherries, raspberries and mulberries mingled with licorice and petals, the 2021 Château Mangot is medium-bodied, fleshy and precise, with a pretty core of fruit, integrated acids and fine, powdery tannins that assert themselves on the gently chalky finish.

James Suckling (91)

Fine spices with cassis and a touch of chili chocolate. Medium-bodied on the palate with a fresh, fluid center palate leading to a bright, juicy finish with tight, dusty tannins. From organically grown grapes.

Falstaff (92)

Deep dark ruby, brightening to purple at the rim. Inviting dark berry fruit, black cherries, fine herbal savouriness, light nougat. Juicy, complex, fine fruit sweetness, well-integrated tannins, nuances of caramel, persistent with good length; has plenty of ageing potential.
