Crafted from vines planted exclusively in galets roulés in the lieu-dit Les Gallimardes, the 2023 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Les Gallimardes exhales a delicate, complex bouquet of blanched almonds, white flowers, jasmine, lemon oil and ripe orchard fruits mingled with delicate smoke notes. Medium to full-bodied, tense and dynamic, it's layered and sappy with bright acids and a long, mineral finish. This blend of equal parts of Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Bourboulenc and Clairette was matured for six months in used barrels (25%) and stainless steel.

25% Grenache Blanc, 25% Bourboulenc, 25% Roussanne and 25% Clairette. Aged for 6 months, 75% in stainless-steel tanks and 25% in old barriques. Tasted blind. Ripe pear and almost tropical aromas. The 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape Les Gallimardes Blanc is beautiful, with gorgeous white peach, crushed lime, and honeyed flower notes all defining the aromatics. With a beautiful mix of richness, minerality, and freshness, it's perfect for drinking over the coming 3-5 years or so.

This is quite a savoury expression; there's a spoonful of fresh veal stock stirred into the preserved lemon and pear fruits. This will work well with rich dishes; it has power, texture, intensity and length. Fresh, vibrant and already taking on some complexity, this is a white Châteauneuf with personality and charisma. Grown on galets roulés, fermented and aged in used barriques and stainless steel.
