Ripe aromas of red and dark pinot fruit are cut with notes of pepper and earth. There is fine energy to the acceptably dense flavors that conclude in a dusty, youthfully austere and lingering finale. This should drink well after only a few years of keeping.
From Les Pierres and Poirier du Clos (upper part), the second last vintage before pulling out as the plants are not a top pinot selection. A pale ruby colour. No great nobility to the nose, but it has been made with a light hand. Rather bitter at the finish.
