A pungent nose combines notes of lavender, red currant and plenty of earth character that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. The rich and relatively full-bodied flavors exhibit a subtle minerality on the powerful and delicious finish where the wood telegraphed by the nose reemerges. This too is really quite good and a wine that should reward mid to perhaps even longer-term keeping.
