Moderately prominent though not dominant wood is present on the very fresh nose of essence of red berries and wood toast. The wood can also be found on the middle weight, sleek and nicely detailed flavors that conclude in a bitter cherry pit-inflected finish that demonstrates sneaky good length. Plan on at least a decade of cellaring if you wish to see this robust effort at its peak.
