Enough wood to notice is present on the ripe liqueur-like aromas of various red berries and spice elements. The succulent, round and delicious, if not especially dense, flavors display a bitter pit fruit character on the youthfully austere and slightly short finale. It's possible that this will better harmonize with a few years of keeping as it's a bit awkward today.
60% of the plot has been replanted, so this comes just from the very old vines. All destemmed. A bright even ruby, with a lot of charm to the fruit. Plenty of energy, a lovely fresh tingle, fills the mouth without excessive exuberance, evidently picked at the right time (10th).
