Racy and elegant, the 2002 Clos Joliette has turned out brilliantly in bottle, offering aromas of white truffle, spices, mandarin, ripe orchard fruits and honey. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered with excellent concentration and a phenolic mid-palate, it has a gastronomic bitterness with a long, perfumed (kumquat, bitter orange and gingerbread) finish. This is a beautifully balanced wine that is built to age with grace. It contains 15.6 grams of residual sugar with a pH of 3.6. Yellow waxed capsules.
