A big, fruity effort, the 2007 Lynch Bages offers lots of creme de cassis, damp earth, and subtle background oak. It is a deep, layered, lush, forward, evolved wine that will offer hedonistic drinking over the next decade.
Displays blackberry and other dark fruits on the nose, with hints of vanilla. Full-bodied, offering chewy tannins, yet polished and refined. A little hollow, but very attractive.
Rene Gabriel rates this wine 18/20 points.
