The year 2004 proved to be a challenging one for the entire Côte de Nuits region. A cool and wet summer led to lower yields and required careful selection of the grapes. The harvest was delayed to allow the Pinot Noir to fully ripen. At the time, Chantal Michel-Tortochot had only recently taken over management of Domaine Tortochot, yet this vintage’s Chambertin is distinguished by its deep flavor and robust character. Enjoy this Pinot Noir, which is characterized by freshness and minerality rather than richness.
Late release direct from Domaine.
