The 2022 Meursault Les Narvaux has an intense bouquet without quite the same degree of delineation as the Les Casse Tête. The palate is a bit reductive on the entry, a touch oaky at the moment, but once fined, that will be addressed. Moderate length. Give it a year or two in bottle.
A slightly broader ranging nose reflects notes of pear, apple, carnation, mineral reduction and crushed anise. There is slightly better richness, density and volume to the enveloping and caressing yet quite punchy flavors that deliver fine length on the balanced and mildly austere finale that offers just a bit more depth.
A fuller yellow and less bright, but not racked or fined yet. The bouquet suggests a bit of freshening up could be in order. That will certainly happen. The fruit in the mouth is quite delicious, with enough concentration, a vigorous apple, just a touch of citrus, and fine length.
