James Suckling (90)

This shows lots of fresh and ripe fruit for the vintage, with a dried-strawberry and raspberry character. Full body, round tannins and a juicy-fruit finish. Friendly; less harsh than many 2011s.

Falstaff (90)

Deep ruby garnet, purple reflections, ochre rim. Fine blackberry nuances, some nougat, a hint of vanilla. Juicy and elegant, red cherries, fresh acidity, ripe tannins, lively, shows very good development, an accessible, lively food companion, already drinkable, salty in the aftertaste, further certain ageing potential.
