From the talented Jean-Philippe Janoueix, the 2011 Croix-Mouton over-delivers in flavor intensity, body and richness. For a Bordeaux Superieur it possesses an atypically dark ruby color as well as a chunky, fleshy bouquet of red and black fruits, spice box and earth.
Ripe, slightly extracted in feel with a taut plum skin edge running from start to finish, along with crushed cherry and blackberry fruit. A good tobacco note wafts through the finish.
