The 2014 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru les Noirots has a tight bouquet, nicely focused, but you feel as if there is something holding it back. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, a dash of white pepper and quite bold tannin towards the finish that suggests good extraction; although, I would like to see more nervosité to come through with time.
