A discreet but still easily perceptible application of wood sets off pretty and attractively floral-suffused aromas of just sliced citrus and apple compote. The rich, concentrated and lightly stony middle weight flavors are borderline opulent before tightening up on the balanced and lingering finish that is dry in the best sense. This could use better depth so 1 to 3 years of keeping should be beneficial.
Lively lemon and lime with a high-class nose of fresh stone fruit with adequate ripeness. A little touch of liquorice adds complexity to the energy, before a smooth long finish. Quentin has got off to a great start with his first vintage of this wine.
