Bordeaux Blend

In Bordeaux sind alle großen Weine Mischungen von Trauben. In einigen sehr seltenen Fällen ist ein Wein ein Cepage: einige Jahrgänge von Petrus sind 100% Merlot. Die typischen Bordeaux-Trauben sind Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot und Malbec. Mischungen werden aus diesen Trauben hergestellt, manchmal ist sogar Carmenere enthalten.

Linke Bankmischungen werden von Cabernet Sauvignon dominiert, rechte Bankmischungen werden von Merlot dominiert.

Weißweine aus Bordeaux sind in den meisten Fällen auch Mischungen, hergestellt aus Sauvignon Blanc und Semillon und gelegentlich aus Muscadelle und Sauvignon Gris.
