The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon, with about 20% Merlot in the blend, is deep garnet-purple in color. It skips out of the glass with youthful, vivacious notes of wild blueberries, black cherries, and blackcurrant jelly plus suggestions of lilacs, fresh redcurrants, star anise, and iron ore with touches of wild sage and underbrush. The medium to full-bodied palate has firm grainy tannins and a refreshing line supporting the tightly knit black fruit layers, finishing long and savory.
