A slightly riper nose blends notes of both red and dark currant with those of plum and a mentholated top note. There is equally good energy to the better detailed and saline-inflected flavors that display better depth and length on the less obviously warm finish.
This comes under the negociant label, though there is a proportion from the domaine’s own vines in the blend. Deep purple, the nose is firm and even a little austere. The fruit is much purer in the mouth, not too heated. Good acid balance and some length.
