Here too the wood treatment is modulated and allows the intensely spicy if restrained aromas of cool essence of red and black pinot fruit that complements well the suave, very round and delicious middle weight flavors that possess good energy. The mouth coating finish is actually no more complex than that of the Echezeaux though there is slightly better persistence. This too will require at least a decade of cellaring.
