?A more subtle though hardly invisible application of wood frames a similarly composed nose of purple fruit and floral aromas that are not as spicy though markedly earthier. The impressively powerful, muscular and textured big-bodied flavors possess a firm backbone of tannins yet the mouth feel is quite velvety, all wrapped in a serious and moderately austere yet well-balanced finale. A classically styled old school example that will demand patience.
