The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis Village has turned out beautifully in bottle, opening in the glass with aromas of cherries, cassis and baking spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, deep and primary palate with a vibrant core of fruit, lively acids and powdery structuring tannins. This isn't in any way austere, but it will require more patience than its 2019 or 2021 counterparts to reach its peak of expression.

Pretty nose of dried flowers, wild mushrooms, raspberries and blood oranges. It’s open and fruit-driven, with medium-firm, lightly chalky tannins framing the juicy fruit. Drink or hold.
Vinous (89)
The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis Village has a heavily perfumed blackberry and crushed strawberry nose, quite sensual, touches of bergamot. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fine acidity, rather generous with a lovely, slightly saline finish.
Burghound (89)
Notes of green tea and floral elements add breadth to the aromas of spicy and earthy red currant and cherry. The delicious and appealing energetic medium weight flavors possess a really lovely texture before culminating in a compact, serious and youthfully austere finale. This quality effort is built to reward mid- to perhaps even longer-term cellaring.
