Robert Parker (96)
Unwinding in the glass with aromas of cassis, dark berries and plums mingled with spices, sweet soils tones, vine smoke and petals, Dujac's 2020 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru is full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with a pure, vibrant core of fruit that's framed by powdery tannins and lively acids. Serious and structured, though it's far from austere, this will richly reward patience.

Deep cherry. Morey ‘mass’; deeply black-fruited. Closed today and tight-lipped. Imposing, with 'something of the night' about it. Impresses more by its weight than expression. Matthew Hayes
Vinous (97)
The 2020 Clos-de-la-Roche Grand Cru has an extremely pure bouquet with blackberry, raspberry, violet and crushed stone. This feels very focused and classy. The palate is very well balanced with supple tannins, fine acidity, very smooth and sensual with a welcome touch of bitterness towards the finish. A gorgeous wine, although I feel that Clos Saint-Denis has the edge.
Burghound (95)
This is aromatically similar to the Clos St. Denis but even more floral. Here too there is a wonderfully attractive mouthfeel on the powerful, muscular and vibrant broad-shouldered flavors that are not quite as dense but offer even more precision on the highly persistent finale where hint of coffee and bitter cherry emerge. This terrific effort is a blend of power and refinement and a wine that should age accordingly.
Jasper Morris (95)
Dark purple, with a mass of ripe but perfectly balanced dark raspberry fruit. To some extent there are more grainy tannins in the Clos de la Roche compared to its twin Clos St-Denis, but the fruit will easily outlast these. A touch of coconut. Long and fine. 78% whole bunch vinification. Drink from 2030-2045. Tasted Nov 2022.
