Winespectator (96)

An elegant and admirably pure nose of warm earth, subtle spice and relatively fresh red currant and plum aromas leads to rich, detailed and tension-filled flavors that display a taut muscularity on the mouth coating and relatively refined finish that is supported by firm and buried tannins as well as stunningly good length. The Echezeaux is an excellent wine but this has another dimension present. A superb effort though patience will be required.
