A brooding and intensely earthy nose is comprised by notes of both red and dark berries that are trimmed in soft spice and sauvage hints. The rich, concentrated and generously proportioned medium-bodied flavors that are blessed with plenty of dry extract that simultaneously coats the palate and buffers the moderately firm tannic spine. This attractively textured effort should drink well young but age well too. An excellent Nuits villages.
