Two barrels, both new, all with whole bunches but decorticated, i.e the main stem pulled out. A glowing pale purple, with the elegance and spice of the whole bunches. Overall, a delicious bouquet. On the palate dark fruit and a chocolate note, with some sterner tannins from the new oak. Not completely together at this stage but with considerable promise.
