A négociant cuvée derived from sources in Pernand and Ladoix, the 2018 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru reveals notes of citrus oil, green apple and pear, framed by a deft touch of nutty, toasty new oak. Full-bodied, rich and layered, it's lively and incisive, but it's more open and expressive than the super concentrated La Croix bottling that hails from the same appellation as Girardin's domaine holdings.
Light greenish-lemon with silver highlights. The complex bouquet combines grapefruit, lime zest and white tropical fruit with roasted hazelnut. Taut, tightly-knit, and mineral, with white fruit flavours and lively acidity. The finish is delicate, silky, and long-lasting, with white peach and lemon nuances.
