Bottled the previous week and deriving from two lieux-dits totaling 0.13ha, picked on the same day, the 2022 Aloxe-Corton Village has a refined bouquet with red cherries, crushed strawberry, and light dried rose petal scents. The palate is medium-bodied with a slight cereal/oaty note on the entry, more because of the recent bottling. With fine depth and acidity, the finish has satisfying depth, showing a touch of summer warmth.
From Valozières and Caillettes. Dense almost black colour. Dark fruit and black olives. Almost a touch of garrigue before reverting to plum at the finish. Spicy at the back as well from the whole bunch. More flesh here, very exciting. The fruit becomes redder and purer with aeration.
