Professional reviews

Robert Parker (94)

The 2011 Cornas is drinking beautifully right now, 10 years after the vintage. Nicely developed notes of leather and faint herbal flourishes accent redcurrants on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is plush and velvety, capped off by a long, elegant finish.

James Suckling (96)

Densely packed, with fine, juicy acidity running throughout, this sports intense boysenberry and raspberry fruit along with plenty of bramble, black pepper and chalk notes, grounded in terroir and exhibiting good cut. Shows a lovely echo of tar and chestnut leaf through the finish.

Jancis Robinson (17.50)

Deep glossy purple. Cleaner than old Clape wines, polished, glossy fruit with good concentration and depth. Very accomplished. Great drive. Fine tannins. Marmite wine. Some hate it. Reminds Tim Heath of tapenade smeared over a gorilla.
