Ample spice nuances are present on the pretty floral-infused aromas of both red and black pinot fruit. There is again good volume and richness to the attractively textured medium-bodied flavors that contrast somewhat with the youthfully austere and sneaky long finish that flirts with dryness. I suspect that the dryness will dissipate with a few years of keeping but that is a supposition.
Quite a pale pink to purple. Fresh cherry notes on the nose, obviously less opulent than some examples, or years. The pepper shows quite strongly here and a firm acidity impacts the finish. There are the basic skills of the appellation here, and fair length.
