From a parcel in Les Rouges du Bas, the 2017 Echézeaux Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) offers up attractive aromas of smoky red fruits, spices, charcuterie and toasty new oak. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, firm and expansive, with a broad, open-knit profile. While the wine was quite structural when I tasted it, I suspect it will flesh out by the time it's bottled. This is often one of the sleepers chez Jadot, so I look forward to revisiting it.
This has very attractive rose-petal and rosehip notes with wild herbs and a swathe of fresh red cherries. The palate carries a succulent, juicy and very fresh array of fine red cherries and a long and fresh, lacy finish with deep flavors
