The 2014 Gevrey Chambertin Villages has a strict, stony bouquet with wet limestone notes percolating through the veneer of red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin. There is not huge weight or concentration here, but it is very well balanced and poised with a taut, minerally finish that is linear and fresh. Very fine.
A broad red, offering cherry and woodsy flavors and accents of spice and stone. Juicy and solid, with a long, spice- and cherry-laced finish.
