Discreet but still discernible wood sets off nicely layered aromas of various dark berries, lavender and a touch of freshly turned earth. The rich and relatively full-bodied flavors are at once succulent but serious, all wrapped in a solidly complex and lingering if more rustic finale. This is firm enough to reward up to a decade of cellaring yet be approachable after 5 or so years.
From domaine fruit plus two complements. Medium deep purple, with a fine fragrant nose, much better balanced than the previous wines. Very good density of fruit, slightly riper through the middle of the palate, before good acidity behind.
