A new vineyard which Laurent was able to purchase with 2019 as the first vintage. A slightly paler colour than the Chambertins, the fruit is fully ripe while the structural elements are clearly present: the mix between the two is harmonious and the finish is very persistent. Nicely done.
Spectacularly forward, with lushly expressive notes of ripe red and black berry fruit, a firm mineral underpinning, and a smoky, earthy note. All of the press wine was blended into the free-run wine and the result was aged on the lees without racking. The texture on the palate seems a bit flat in the middle, but it is a pleasant wine, with balance and elegance that endure on the finish.
