Winespectator (95)

A serious red, this boasts macerated cherry, plum, rose hip, almond and tobacco flavors. Powerful, featuring full-bore, well-integrated tannins, with a long, lively, mineral-infused finish.

James Suckling (93)

Walnuts, sweet berries, lemons, lavender and chocolate on the nose. Medium- to full-bodied with firm tannins. Fragrant floral and spice notes on a firm finish. A little tight for now. From organically grown grapes.

Jancis Robinson (17)

Aged for 2 years in 500-litre tonneaux and then one year in botti grandi.
Savoury finish after prune flavours, but the fruit seems fresh rather than dried. Fully mature.

Falstaff (94)

Brilliant, flint ruby red. Earthy hints initially on the nose, carried by fine tea, plus resinous tones, again candied raspberry and rosehip, very seductive. On the palate polished and with a creamy fruit core, spreads excitingly, beautiful harmony, balanced, drinks very well, excellent success.
