The 2010 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses gently unfolds in the glass with layers of fresh strawberry, cassis and violets. It is sedate for an Amoureuses, not one that immediately goes out and grabs the senses; more a temptress that bides her time. The palate is medium-bodied with solid tannins on the entry that provide the linearity and focus and therefore it is not a flamboyant wine, but has the certain correctness and superb minerality on the finish. This is classic Burgundy.
