The 2015 Bienvenues-Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a clean and pure bouquet with red apples and citrus lemon, later tinned peach and summer fruit developing with commensurate mineralite. The palate is well balanced with fresh citrus fruit, well-integrated oak, good weight and though not long, it is focused with a lovely praline and fresh ginger note lingering on the aftertaste. Just a delicious, not profound, but very worthwhile white Burgundy in the making.
