40% whole bunch. Cask sample.
Deep cherry red. Seductive dark-red fruit. Very ripe cherry but the fruit smells fresh not jammy. Both spice and a light floral note as well. Chewy, dense and yet over-delivers on generous fruit even with all this tannin framework. The tannins are the freshness here, it seems. Dry and refined. Not typical perhaps but very good.
