Firm reduction. I very much like the rich and velvety mouth feel of the extract-rich medium weight plus flavors that are shaped by notably firm but not hard tannins on the powerful, serious and mocha-inflected finish. This is very ripe but it manages to avoid the youthful austerity that is so typical of young Clos de Vougeot. At last moderate patience required.
