This domaine's Griotte-Chambertin always shows superb ripeness, a huge, herb-tinged, explosive, berry-scented bouquet, lush, sensual flavors, medium to full body, and a heady, alcoholic finish. The 1988 looks as if it will drink beautifully young, but I would not be surprised to see it last 15 more years.

Floral, plum and currant aromas and flavors burst from every sip of this rich, concentrated wine that echoes fruit and spice on the long finish. Has plenty of tannin that will need until 1996 to 2000 to settle down.
