Discreet nuances of spice, earth and animale add interest to the broad-ranging nose of plum and floral aromas. There is outstanding richness and power to the strikingly dense and muscular big-bodied flavors that possess a velvety mid-palate that contrasts noticeably with the very serious and built-to-age finale that delivers superb length. This may drink well for a few years once it's bottled but I suspect that it will subsequently shut down so buy this with the intent of cellaring it for the longer-term because it's going to need it.
