The 2007 Sammarco is a showstopper. A dazzling bouquet leads to layers of rich dark fruit in this superb, racy wine. The tannins are all about finesse. This isn’t a blockbuster Sammarco, but rather it is a wine that impresses for its sexy personality and fabulous overall balance. The 2007 Sammarco is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Sangiovese and 5% Merlot.
Intense aromas and flavors of black currant, cherry, cedar and licorice are reminiscent of a fine Bordeaux. Concentrated, yet stylish and elegant, with great breed and a lingering aftertaste of fruit, spice and mineral. Delicious now, yet still very young. Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Merlot.
